Hi Karen, basically we do as you do.....we do have a few toys, ie. bikes & kayacks that we take along. We have friends who camp with us and sleep in tents - however when the weather is bad - guess where they crash! We hav the HappyJack bed/couch system back there!
DH has as a large roll around tool box in the garage area, and we have a small dorm size frig....we use the rear door (not the garage door) - so any dirt, mud, etc. stays in the garage area!
I don't think you will be disappointed - just watch the tongue weight - if you go with a tow behind.....
