I would definitely look for one with an upgraded shower and toilet. Or get them upgraded. They are not designed for full time use. Also, since you are talking about the northwest, I'd ensure you get the winter Arctic package. You might not be here in the winter, but you also might not want to pack up the first day it gets below freezing either.
If you are into performance, I'd get a 3/4 ton diesel. Will make pulling so much easier too. Most toy haulers are built more stout then regular bumper pulls. The being said, if you are set in a half ton, they are tons of toy haulers that'll fit bikes and you can get the options you want.
