Hi Folks
Just checking in here
Sold my 14 Jeep GC SRT and wound up getting a 17 Ford CC Raptor (not delivered yet)
If you are still seriously considering full timing, I'd cancel that order for the Raptor. They're awesome trucks but have zero payload. A buddy of mine has an extended cab Raptor with only 800 pounds of payload. He tows a small Lance 1575 (which is too small IMHO to live in full time) and is over his GVWR by the time he hooks up the trailer and loads the truck with gear, his wife, kid, and a dog. The truck handles it okay, but it's maxed out suspension-wise, and he's even upgraded the rear leafs. They're quickly outgrowing their 1575, but can't tow anything heavier, so he says his next truck is most likely going to be a Super Duty.
The new 6.7 diesel Super Duties are awesome trucks, and being that they are now using the same cab as the F150, there's already companies out there retrofitting the Raptor front end to the Super Duty if you like the Raptor looks. Add a Carli suspension and some bigger wheels and tires, and the new Super Duties will be comparable to a Raptor offroad, yet are much more capable tow/hauling rigs.
I highly suggest you do a little research on Carli suspensions; I think you'll be blown away at what they can turn a 1 ton truck into. I plan on installing one of their kits on mine as soon as the truck is paid off. ;)
Good luck and looking forward to future updates.
