Be sure and get the trucks separate front and rear axle weights. A single gross weight doesn't tell a truck operator how much load is on the trucks axles/tires.
The '06 drw/srw and the 2500 all use the same AAM 11.5" rear axle with a 10800 lb rating from AAM. Dodge derates it with 3100-3200 lb rated tires wheels and rear springs pack. Your not going to overload or hurt the 11.5" AAM axle.
