Maybe you should, but some do not have the tools ,and such to do a job like that. simply some just don't want to do that kind of repairs.
IMO you are over simplifying replacing spring packs, have done a few, although its not a technical job per say, there is a bit of labor involved. Being the easiest task one can do, does not make a lot of sense, easiest task compared to what . :h
