Sorry. This thread was mostly addressing build quality. Not service or warranty work, although those are important also. Thus the purpose of my post.

Most posters have the opinion now that Thor owns KZ, the quality will go down the tubes. I disagree.

No matter what the name is on the side, some individual trailers are just going to have problems.

That stinks. I wonder if KZ was in financial trouble or why they sold out?

I totally agree. Thor acquired Heartland a few years ago and they have only gotten better..

You are wrong. Keystone does not include Heartland. Heartland is a separate company that Thor acquired. It operates independently. Monatana is a keystone brand and not a company. Airstream is owned by Thor but is independent of Keystone. Please get your facts straight.

I'm pretty sure you are misinterpreting what was said. Two different thoughts are going on: (1) Keystone is a Thor company that includes the Montana brand, period; (2) Heartland, Crossroads and Airstream also fall under the Thor umbrella. This misconception was addressed already in this thread. Please get your facts straight.

I'm on my 3rd Thor Industries travel trailer. I've had success with all 3. Thor stock is looking good and has been on a steady incline for years now. I've always had excellent service with all 3 of my dealers and follow-up on any problems and / or repairs on all 3 trailers. My only mistake was, I didn't purchase Thor Industries stock when it was at $11 a share!

I'll stick with Northwood.

Oh, I see I did read it correctly originally....Thor owns all the companies you listed...Keystone never owned any of them, except Montana which is a line, not a brand...here is a list of all Thor own RV companies. KZ has not been added yet, but the press release is at the bottom:

Heartland is not a Keystone product. Need to do a little more fact checking.

I think he was saying Thor owns Keystone, which by the way includes Montana, and Thor also owns Heartland and Airstream...

The only reason Heartland sold out was for the influx of capital so they could expand operations...that's been several years now, and there has been no appreciable difference in the way Heartland operates.
