Thor Outlaw hauling and towing togther

We are considering purchasing a 2017 Thor Outlaw 37BG and are looking for advice from anyone that has both loaded the garage and towed a vehicle at the same time. According to all weight limits posted on the unit, we would be within specs. But we worry about performance and handling.

We will be loading a 1600 lb side by side, and pulling a 2010 Chevy Equinox (aprox 4100 lbs)

The UVW is 20100.
GVWR is 26000.
Total capacity is 30000.
Garage limit is 2500

Thanks in advance for any advice.
  • It will be miserable as a gasser. Period.
Anyone says different, I have a bunch of F550 V10 trucks and some 3500 flatbed Chevy duallies that all are big giant turds once combined weight starts getting up there.
  • Take a look here. Alot of good info.

Holy Advertising Batman! 28 ads on one page, that's like a new record :E
  • einy we generally don't want cross posting but based on the few comments you've had you can go ahead and cross post.

You can also search and see if you find some owners. The reality is these never caught on a great deal so they are a bit of a white rhino. Y-Guy
  • Yes, the unit we are looking at has the Ford V-10. We were hoping to here from someone that has owned one. Perhaps we should post the question in the Class A forum
  • Don't those come with a Ford V-10 power plant?...#30,000 is a lot of weight. I would want to find out from somebody who has used one to tow that much, and how it performed.

Good luck with that. Towing a car behind a 5th wheel in Califrnia is a nono.
Outlaw is a class A toyhauler.
