We have thought a few times about staying at Thornhill. How is the noise from PCH? How far out do you usually have to book in advance?
Same question for Refugio.
We like to stay north as we are coming from AZ. Jalama is by far our favorite. We have stayed a few times at Emma Wood (as well as many others). Great pictures.
Thornhill broome is a lil easier to book compared to Refugio. You can find a spot at THB if you book a couple of weeks out. This trip we just showed up since it was weekday and paid day to day through self serve. Refugio is another story it's almost always booked solid 6 months in advanced. I recommend you setup on reserve America to alert you of any availability. The noise level from pch at THB isn't too bad at all during the day. Early morning when your sleeping is when you can hear the cars on pch.
