In our area there are what we call periodic door knockers that check for unlocked vehicles overnight to take personal items. I am always amazed how people will think nothing of parking a $50,000+ vehicle on the street because the garage is filled with $500 worth of junk. No damage to the vehicles, just the stuff is gone in the morning.
Truck was taken from driveway. Trailer is normally in secured storage but was here overnight while being detailed. Garage has the 2 newer, nicer cars in it and truck wouldn't fit anyhow.
I get what you are saying though. We have friends with 3 car garages and not a single vehicle in them.
We could tough it out and take extra precautions and everything, it just isn't worth the hassle to us anymore. We'll get back to it eventually. Word came from insurance yesterday that they are doing the total loss calculation on the trailer so that makes the decision much easier.
