Your price is better than mine at Les Schwab... and seems low considering what the tire alone costs on Tirebuyer.com

This is the first set of ST's I've ever put on my rig. Just thought I'd better see what all the arguing is about before I die.

If I can get them before our next longer trip, since we're already on our spare tire, I'm getting Carlisle Radial Trail HD. If I can't get them in time, I'll go with the Radial Trail RH. Ours is a 235/80-16 tire. I don't have the center to center distance to go to the 235/85, and I'm not going to replace my wheels just to go to an overkill G tire like Sailun. So I'm going Carlisle. I'm getting them for $128 mounted, balance and installed at a local small tire shop right down the road from me. I won't have to take the trailer to a big city dealer 55 miles away, with no spare.

From everything I've read here over the past 7-8 years, the GY are some of the best you can get. You =do= pay more, because you're, in effect, also buying an insurance policy with them. GY is just about the only tire co. that will fix damage caused by a tire going bad. Yes, the Sailuns are gaining an excellent reputation, and are =significantly= cheaper, but most people have reported that they categorically will not fix damage caused by a tire blowing out. So, youse pays your money and youse takes your chances. Personally, were I towing =really= heavy, and on the edge of the capacity of the G-rated tires, I'd lean towards the GY for this reason OR I'd upgrade to an H-rated tire.

^^^^^^Not so much a toss up when you factor in the cost. :)

Looks like a toss up between GY & Sailuns.

I have six S637 Sailuns on a GN triaxle stock trailer. This trailer puts a lot of service off road over stobs/rocks and then runs 75 mph all day and nite at full loads.

Sailuns!

Several friends are running the Saliun's. No issue's yet. When we time out our Goodyears, I'm going with them as well.
