If you are only going to keep the trailer for another year or two just get a set of E rated Maxxis trailer tires. If youa re going to keep it longer absolutely go to 16" wheels and get LT tires- At least BFG commercial tires or better.

When I was running the Maxxis 15" tires, they would last 1 1/2 to 2 years and then start separating, luckily they did not come apart while traveling, but easily could have if not for my diligence of checking them often. One instance I stopped for a doggy break and used my infrared thermometer to check the tires, one was ~10* warmer than the others, we were close to our destination and the air pressure was good so I went on. When I went to put the chocks between the tires one would not fit, the tread area was rounded so bad that it grew about 1 1/2"
Dodged a bullet on that one.
