Methinks it might be time to "take it upstairs", over Alvin's pay grade. Bet they wouldn't void a warranty if you swapped LT's between 2 trucks. BFG also has a known track record of replacing LT's =and= repairing damage to RV's in other cases. They can't have it both ways. They can =try=, and make your life miserable until you go away... How many sales has BFG now lost because of this one thread, which will hang around the Net until the sun blows up? Lyle
The conversation was recorded and escalated to a supervisor with the same answer. Many conversations are now recorded and I suspect that it legally protects the person and company.
I may have not been clear but Alvin said that a warranty is void when tires are moved from one vehicle to another. He used that phrase several times and one time he said "from one truck to another" so I am making the assumption that warranty is specific to the original vehicle. How to enforce that I don't know but every tire I have bought for vehicles has a description of the vehicle, mileage etc. with the paperwork. They were not interested in pictures or calling the local dealer or the dealer in Louisiana where I bought a spare that looked at the same tire.
The BFG web say: WHAT IS COVERED AND FOR HOW LONG?
BFGoodrich passenger and light truck replacement tires that are used in normal service on the vehicle on which they were originally fitted are covered as follows: It continues with length of warranty and defects.
I guess loyalty gets you nowhere with some companies these days. I became an employee with BFG in 1974 and worked for them many years before the plant that I retired from was sold. Since 1974 all replacement tires were BFG-either Commercial T/a's or the Advantage.
And you'll buy how many more BFG tires in the future? That really blows...
