Well that confirms once again my opinion that BFG is not a company that I would ever do business with.
Time to installed a set of Michelin XPs Ribs or the Duravis R250 steel belt highway LT tire and starting towing with confidence.
But Michelin owns BFG!
About time for a 20/20 or 60 Minutes segment! Chris
Yes "gitane59" - BFG is owned by Michelin, and is their "2nd tier" tire below the Michelin brand..;)
(Michelin does indicate trlr use for XPS Ribs - why not BFG?)
Why wait for 20/20 or 60 Minutes?..:h
Every 5er owner with BFG TAs should be calling *Michelin* to complain about the *documented* OPs shoddy treatment, the "no trailer" statements/policy - and let them know they won't be purchasing their product in the future..:(..:(
BTW - in spite of all the bad karma with Marathon failures (and G614), Goodyear replaces tires and (usually) pays for damage to trailers caused by their tires.
(Unfortunately, it's a "vicious circle" -more Marathons- and, of course, no help with/for "down time").
