I recently installed a set of Maxxis M8008 ST235/80R16 tires. I compared them to the OEM China bombs they replaced. Their sidewalls were thicker and had less flex and they were heavier. I really like them.
There will be a number of responses suggesting the LT tires you mentioned. To each their own. They are much more expensive and are not limited to 65 mph.
The tire store I bought my Maxxis will not install LT tires on a trailer unless they came in it originally. Silly, eh?
BTW, be sure your new tires are balanced.
