Tire help

So I've had our 5th wheel for two years and started looking into tires. I've read and searched all kinds of tire threads. The tires oem tires are 235/80r16 E.
The rims are good for 110 psi and made for 6 inch tires. The tag on the trailer says the axels are 6000lbs and 11900 gvw, tag also says 65psi. Between the tires there is a little over 2 inches of space now so larger sizes are going to be too close, and most other sizes the same height require a 6.5 or larger rim. I am not to excited about putting cheap st tires back on. I've looked at xps ribs, good year g614, sailun and Bridgestone and nothing seems to meet criteria with a 6 in rim. Any ideas?
  • You are between a rock and a hard spot. Even the Handkook F19 is to large in diameter. Time for Carlisle Radial RH tires and a good follow up on how they perform. Or mount LT245/75R16's on your rims that are a .5" to narrow as many others have done.

Good luck and keep us in the loop. And not I am not that big of a fan of Maxxis M8008ST's.

  • On our Montana 5ver we installed the Geostar 574 14ply, and I believe the rim is 6" wide, on ebay they have a heck of a great price, great tire for the money...Check out the specs and see if they will work for you
