Tire manufature locations.

Time to replace fiver tires. I Used general grabber "e" for 7 years with no problems.
When I look on tirerack.com I see they are made in Mexico. Does anyone have a history with Mexico made tires?

It is these or Firestone transformer, The other options are to costly for my budget.
  • Interesting.......

You have a TV and RV that cost over 100K and the proper tire for your RV is not in your budget??????

GY G tires are $1,400 shipped to your door from trailertiresandwheels.com
  • Hay folks! I am looking for information not necessarily for myself.
I am glad to see some vary close investigation, just not on topic requested.
  • Would have to been on the road 24x7x365 to wear out G614's on a 2012 trailer! Chris
  • FastEagle bring up a good point.

The 36RE Cedar Creek in your sig comes with 8 lug G rated Goodyear and 7k axle. The rig has a 16400 GVWR. I'm guessing the Goodyear G load range is the 16 " 3750 lb rated G614s.

The Firestone's you mention are a 16 "LT E at 3042 lbs capacity. Thats well under your trailers 7000 lb axle or 3500 lb per tire requirements.

Are you having issues with your tires on the 2012 Cedar Creek or are the Firestone tires for a different trailer ??
The 16" Firestone Transforce LT E are a very good tire for any trailer with 6k axles and smaller.
  • General Grabber is to aggressive of a tread for a trailer IMO.
Get something with a rib design and make sure you cover GAWR.

  • I have Grabbers on my truck and so far they've been fine. I wanted tires with a more aggressive tread. I suspect they may have cost me a bit in mpg tho, maybe 1/2 a mpg.
