Agreed. Door post on '90's Ford SUVs showed 28 psi for near-6k lbs vehicles. Anyone remember how many blew tires and rolled? Ford kept blaming the owners and the tires, when their own marketing people (it sure as hell wasn't the engineers) decided to sell vehicles with under-inflated tires from the factory, and their dealer's service people kept doing things "by the book". My dad had a late-80's E150 van that was sold with =passenger= tires. Was downright dangerous to drive, IMO, and I drove it as little as I could. Once he finally got someone to suggest putting LTs on it, it drove 100% better. Door post still recommended P-rated tires.
