Sometimes it is the tire!!! Just saying.....
We had the exact same thing happen to us a few years ago. We were on a long trip from Milwaukee to the West Coast. I was convinced it was a bad axel or spindle, took it to the dealer and they checked it out. Ply separation on the Goodyear Marathons! This was on the right rear axel and after closer inspection the front right axel was doing the same thing just not as bad at first. Ended up buying new tires. :(
