Yes, there is a reason: THEY ARE CHEAPER.
And neither the trailer manufactures, or the tire manufactures, assume any liability for the damage they cause when (not if) they fail.
And 10 people may give you different answers, however, the group that says keep on trucking with your ST******tires is a dwindling group.
