- elcheapoExplorerOnly problem using a tire ramp is, that it over loads the other tire as all the weight is on one tire.
- RustyJCExplorerIt works fine with the leaf sprung solid axles - I have one and have used it twice on previous 5th wheels after tread separations. I guess I can probably take it out of the basement (it doesn't take much room stored vertically) and pitch it since our current 5th wheel has MorRyde independent suspension.
Rusty - kennethwoosterExplorerIf I was younger I would. Today I will call tire service. As a farmer I've changed hundreds. However if I was going to I would get the plastic one to drive one tire up on and chage the flat. Easier then carrying a bottle jack and having to lay on ground to get under shackle or frame.

Use a traileraid on mine, works easy. Much rather use this on a dark rainy night , than crawling around with a bottle jack.

+1 Fits in the basement storage well just fine. Makes changing a tire quick and I don't have to carry a bunch of blocks to get a jack high enough to lift the trailer and don't have to crawl under the trailer.

We have one and it works on our fiver. It doesn't seem to take up that much room in our Pickup's 8 ft bed
Well I had an 8' bed then installed a tool box. That said all the stuff goes in the tool box so what is left of the bed is all usable.
Our goal is to not have to pack to use the 5er. All of what we need should either be in the 5er, or the TV tool box already, the exemptions are bikes, and personable food. - agesilausExplorer IIIWe have one and it works on our fiver. - AllworthExplorer IIThey don't work with Mor-Ryde type "RE" suspension (or. of course, "IS" independent suspension).
I use a bottle jack. - bpoundsNomad

Just one more thing to carry and take up space, feel a 12 Ton Bottle jack is smaller and more useful.

The jack that came with my truck will work fine. No need to carry something extra. - austinjennaExplorerYes I have it used it a few times. Now on my latest fiver I also need a board down for the suspension so the wheel will come off the ground
