The few tire shops I have spoken with said just the opposite. They insisted that most ST tires were simply junk. Having seen and experienced ST failures at an alarming rate, I agree. My trailer weighs 12.5 with about 2.5 on the pin and my Commercial TAs have not failed yet. Not to say they won't, but after comparing them to the trash they replaced, I feel good.
How do you know that in heavy trailer service, the tires are subjected to more weight than they were designed for?
