Tire Time

The 7 year old Maxxis tires are shot, starting to break apart in the ribs. I have had great luck with these, wondering about the New (to me anyway) Goodyear Endurance tires made in the US and seem to have good reviews. So Maxxis 8008's again or Goodyear Endurance? 2011 Jayco Eagle 321RLTS max at 14500. So E load range at least. 235/80/16.

  • Most people, when they have good luck with a particular brand of anything, they stick with it.

    Why not stay with Maxxis?

Although I will say I had great luck with Goodyear Endurance on my previous RV.. and have heard alot of good about Sailuns.

I have exact same 5er. I am now using Sailuns , really good tires.
  • “90-95 should be fine”

Or you can follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and be better than “should be fine.”
  • Or put the Sailun S637's on it, then you have a steel ply carcass tire, which would not require the full 110 lbs on inflation. 90-95 should be fine. Chris
  • Between those two, I'd go with the Endurance. They are a newer design allowing a much higher speed rating. While we don't need to tow more than 65 mph, it is nice the tire is capable, and implies better built.
