After 3 blow outs and 2 flats in 3 years, I have come to the reality that my 5th wheel provider put the wrong tires on my RV. The trailer is 9600 Dry, so we call it 10,000 Pull weight. I have load range "E". Im going to Load range "G" if I need different rims and valve stems, so be it.
My thought is with the "E" tire, Im already at max load, then add in the bouncing of the roads between Houston and the Mississippi Gulf coast, is just too much of a dynamic Load range "E" tire.
Someone say, Good Job..& Why It took you so long to join the real world. LOL
Actually I really want a thread that shows Load range "E" is not the best choice for a 10,000# 5th wheel. Or am I off base that much
Thanks in Advance for the input.

Jeff, my old Komfort, at 11,360 GVW, was placarded for D tires. After switching to E range tires (albeit STs), I had more tire capacity than the GVW of my FW. The mfrs that are now offering a 16"/E tire option for "half-ton towable" FWs are taking advantage of the fear that we have of ST tires and offering tires that are =way= more than necessary, but you then have the option for 16" LT tires down the road. Putting G tires on a 10k GVW trailer is just throwing money away, IMO. If you're dead set on spending money, buy some good 16" wheels and put a set of Michelin Ribs or Bridgestone Duravis R250s on. Still overkill for a 10k FW, IMO, but way cheaper than G wheels/tires.
