- craig7hNomad III am very happy with my Firestone Transforce HT's. I am about ready for new tires and will be sticking with the Transforce.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIII'm on 2nd set of Michelin AT2s
Have been VERY happy with wear, handling, traction (wet grass, gravel) OK in limited snow/ice
Have run 'heavy' on rear tires towing and nary a problem
Course........BEST depends on criteria/use and wheel size (availability) - csamayfield55xExplorerOn my 3rd set of Toyo Open country ATII's Actually first set of 2's and 2 sets of AT's. Best tire I have ever ran.
Looks like this thread will kinda get you no where. It is like a what's your favorite beer thread. Everyone has an opinion.
Chris - x96mnnExplorerMy last tire purchase was for my 1500' went with Michellen MX2 e rated and have no real complaints. Expected better wear as 30000 miles in they were half worn.
Spent the weekend with a guy who owns a 2012 ram 3500 he used to haul campers with for two year. Had 300000 miles on his rig, ran the Firestone transforce HTs when he hauled, still had 4 on the back with 100000 miles on them. Not hauling anymore he went with the ATs on the front.
I will price the HTs and ATs when I replace my 6 tires, if it is less then 100 per tire I think I will go with the HT based on his experience. Nothing bad on the AT mind you just no miles on them yet. - rhagfoExplorer IIIWe went with Michelin LT MS/2+great traction.
- donn0128Explorer IIJust installed Yokahama Geolander HTs. Super quiet ride. Decent price crom Discount Tire
- MacrosillExplorerI went with Firestone Transforce HT on my dually motorhome I used to have. I plan on Firestone Transforce HT on my Dually F350 next year when I replace all six tires.
Just to be clear I vote Firestone Tansforce HT.
This is provided you want highway tires as opposed to All Terrain or Off Road tires.
