I drive about 30K-40K miles a year in my trucks and have done so for a long time. Its fair to say I've burned up some tires in my lifetime ;-)
I've had more sets of Bridgestone Duelers than I can remember, and they've provided solid performance up to and beyond 60K miles. Really, though, at any point above 50K miles you could begin to justify replacing them. Highly recommend Bridgestone Duelers. I currently have them on the Ford in my sig line.
On my Ram dually, I'm running Toyo Open Country A/T. With about 20K miles on them, they're holding up fantastically well. I expect them to do as well as the Bridgestones. FWIW, I went with the Toyo's instead of the Bridgestones because they were on sale, had a promotional offer going, and after 6 tires the price ended up being WAAAAAAY lower...at the time. May not be the case right now.
I cannot ever recommend Goodyear Wrangler A/T's. I've had 2 sets of them and after about 20K miles they were intolerable. In no case did I keep them more than 30K miles. Just a poor wearing tire.
I've bought tires at the same place (with the same manager) for a long time. They've steered me away from the more expensive Firestone tires. They have a fan club (just like the other brands), but this manager claims that they don't wear as good as the Toyo's or Bridgestones.
