I fear that all too many people walk into a RV dealership and are wowed by the "foo-foo" inside. That's what sells RVs to those consumers. There aren't many of us who want to crawl around and check the "oily bits" (as the Brits say) - the tires, suspension, brakes, frame, power converter, power protection and power management systems, etc. that are the foundation on which the RV is built and operates.
I see these RVers just about every time I'm out on the Interstate - they come flying by in the left lane at 75-80 MPH towing those TTs and 5th wheels with the stock tires, oblivious to the risks of a catastrophic tire failure at those speeds.
