This is correct. The build up in your tank is from solids being dropped on the dry bottom of the tank. Hence the dreaded poop pyramid. We have used the GEO method for many years. Many threads on it here, it works.

To each their own, what ever works for YOU!
We use the same two ply that we use at home, AngelSoft. Never had a problem.

We use nice 2 Ply Northern.
My Black Tank sensors show 3 out of 4 lights when empty after dumping.
Often the 4th light will usually illuminate by the time I dump the Black Tank after every 7 days while long-term camping. The Tank has never been full within 7 days, but may start to stink a little by then in hot weather.

Galley Tank almost always shows all 4 lights all the time...

Grey tank when open usually shows only one or two lights.

When it comes to TP while on the road, we don't like to compromise---we use a LOT of name-brand, 100-ply TP, just like at home. Obviously, our MO is not very compatible with keeping the black tank and macerator in tip-top shape. So, we use small, easy to seal bags. Sure, a little awkward at first, but you get used to it real-quick--lol!

You have holding tanks not a septic system. The toilet paper shouldn't be in there long enough to break down. Stop wasting your money on the expensive RV stuff and use what you have at home. No chemicals needed either. Just use lots of water. been doing it this way for 40 years without a problem..

Putting used toilet paper in bags is just plain gross....

I think you're letting your imagination read a little too much into the process. What's the difference between putting the final product down the toilet with your hand vs. a nearby waste container?

Ever tried to clean out a clogged black tank? Now, that's gross--lol!
