Had a pace edwards on the last truck and absolutely loved it except the ft of space you lose at the front of the bed. new truck we went with a 4 section bak flip and gained all that room up front for wood etc that we carry - the down side is the thing is very heavy to handle at that height (truck being taller than old one and I go the heavy duty bak cover) with either product you keep your hitch covered when not towing and can secure items in the bed when parked!
the pace had a great light on it that we loved so when we got the bak flip I added a strip of white leds all the way around the underside of the bed lip - works great too
with either cover and the locking tailgate you have a lot more security than with a soft cover - not sure about you but when visiting a big city having a $2K hitch taken would ruin my trip
of course right now the hitch is out for the winter
