Hello Folks!I would love to hear your opinions on tonneau covers that work for your TV and 5th wheel. I would love to keep stuff secure from sight when disconnected, but be able to connect to the rig without risk of losing the cover on the road etc. Any favorites out there?Thanks so much!

I use a Pace Edwards full metal jackrabbit. Works great. Only problem is you may have to lower your hitch a notch or two for the cover to clear the hitch.

I use a Truxedo Lo Pro QT. It's a soft roll up cover. I just roll it up just behind the cab when towing. Roll it out in seconds once I drop the 5th wheel.I had a trifold cover but my Morryde pinbox would hit it when connected. I sold it and bought the Truxedo.

Extang Trifecta for me. Have had one on my last 3 trucks and will have one again on the next truck. Don't know if it would work for a 5er application, though.

Another vote for Truxedo. I don't leave anything under my cover that I want stolen. It keeps my hitch dry also. I did have to cut the handle a little so it would clear the cover. I bought mine used on Craigslist.

Beenmusing a Fold A Cover for 11 years on two different trucks. Works great, lockable, and 90% water resistant.

There used to be one out there that had a flap that could be folded open and held with Velcro. But I haven't seen it advertised in years so I assume it didn't sell enough to continue.

like Padlin, I also have the Extang Trifecta. Every comment he made is dead on. I would add that the cover leaks enough to make everything inside wet but it doesn't ventilate enough to dry the bed out.

I used to have the same idea. Never found anything. Don't think you'd really gain much as far as aerodynamics. That's why I went from roll up to tri fold; at least you can keep front 1/3 covered.

Well I guess I'll be different...we have an Advantage Torza Top Tri-fold rag top tonneau cover for 3 years now and just fold it open when towing the 5er and close it when not towing. Fantastic cover, still looks brand spanking new.

I have a BakFlip cover BakFlip.com
Works great while hauling the trailer. Just fold it back past the 5th wheel hitch. Can also be completely removed in a couple minutes by yourself.

I'm having good luck with the Retrax Pro! Works best on long box since you do lose some space to the roll-up canister.

It's a solid cover, locks at any point along the track. You can roll it pack partway to cover the box in front of the hitch when pulling the 5er.

Thats what I like the most about mine as well. I can throw the firewood in front of the hitch, hitch up the fiver and move the cover back to cover the firewood if the weather looks iffy. Also since its retractable the wife or kids have no problems using it.
