I found out that by opening the valve when parked for lunch or rest stops gave enough fuel rather than having it always running into the truck tank cured that problem, and it really wasn't a problem as it did nothing to affect the engine. Now with my 11 chev I added a ball valve in the wheel well to make that easier to turn on/off. Now I open/close valve easy and does not set CE light.
Funny, I never had any real problem on my 08 chevy 2500 or 2011 chevy 3500. I think maybe on my 08 I every once in a while would have to turn the ignition off and restart the truck to get a correct reading but on my 2011 no problems. I never had a CEL.
