tools

not real worried about my first trip just a weekend 40 mile up the road, but trip #2 is 1000 round trip, besides the spare, jack, screw driver and rat set, basics "WHAT DO I REALLY NEED TO TAKE TO FIX" I am sure you all have your favorite tools for the road. this is an older unit that did check good. "but it is an older unit" what are the common breakdowns.

    I don't carry an entire socket set - I went around the rig and figured out what sizes i'd need for what was there (hitch parts, suspension parts, lugs, etc) and I just packed those. Screw driver (I just grabbed a multi-version). Drill. Pliers and vice grips. Thats really about it. I wanted to keep my tool collection from adding a ton into the rig!

    Jack torque wrench correct socket for lug nuts screw drivers pliers wrenches brake spoon cordless drill covers probably 90% of your needs. To that I do carry a combination wrench set and lots of misc screws.
