Since you're wanting to "split hairs" let's split this ... these aren't GVW numbers but rather GVWR numbers - Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating ... GVW is the weight of the rig as loaded ready to camp and to be towed and will (must) always be no greater than it's GVWR.
