One thing to remember is that manufacturer tow ratings are very 'creative'. My truck has a fifth wheel towing capacity of ~16K lbs but my payload capacity it topped out with my 10K trailer. My rear axle would be at maxed out at ~13k lbs.
IMO, it's much better for one to understand GCWR, GVWR, and RAWR and calculate their own towing capacity than to reply on the manufacturer's tow ratings.
