Lots of people are leaving the MDT/HDT market since the newer Dually's are so capable.
Comfort? Well I can say this interior is VERY comfortable!

A lot are leaving ? really? How do you know this? The east coast rally tripled in size.
MTD owners have moved to HDT and back to LGT's ...... so . I know only one guy that sold his MTD for a HDT .... means nothing ,I would like to see your data ,or are posting your fevered dreams?
Truth is you don't know what you don't know ,HTD's are more
-more safe
- more comfortable
-more powerful
Until you use one and then go back to a LGT you won't know ,and by the way most every single HTD owner kept the 350,450 and occasionally use it to move the trailer .
Guess what they say?
Both you and NC don't know what are really the drawbacks because you never used one ,believe me there are plenty.
But you both missed the mark.
Interesting! I make a simple comment that does NOT question the capabilities of the MDT/HDT trucks at all. "Lots of people are leaving the MDT/HDT market since the newer Dually's are so capable.

I have been fulltiming or part timing for 10 years now in SoCal where the full timers stay. The rigs as large as mine 10 years ago wren all pulled by MDT/HDT trucks and since the 4th ben RAM's came out in 2010 the big boys numbers have been falling rapidly. I have talked to several that had for sale signs in their big rigs (mostly MDT's) and they said that at the time the only safe choice was their current truck to tow the RV they wanted. They all said they wanted a smaller tow vehicle now that the RAM trucks were so capable.
I don't need to tow with a MDT or HDT to know I don't NEED either to safely tow my 23K RV. If someone wants one of the Big Boys I really don't care.
