MTD owners have moved to HDT and back to LGT's ...... so . I know only one guy that sold his MTD for a HDT .... means nothing ,I would like to see your data ,or are posting your fevered dreams?

- more comfortable
-more powerful
Until you use one and then go back to a LGT you won't know ,and by the way most every single HTD owner kept the 350,450 and occasionally use it to move the trailer .

Both you and NC don't know what are really the drawbacks because you never used one ,believe me there are plenty.
But you both missed the mark.

Don't judge people that you don't know...You would have NEVER heard me recommend using ANY light duty truck prior to 2013...NOW it seems that some of the HDT's are living in the past especially those on the Escapees forums who will argue with you and never admit they're wrong when they preach that you need an HDT to tow a 16,000# 5er with...They've bought into the "holier than thou" of some HDT's that anything over 15K NEEDS a MDT or a HDT...so when you know how many I've tried out and how close I came to purchasing one, and know more background on me.....go back prior 20 1013, not all that long ago...THEN you can include me in your roll call of stupid people...ACCORDING to HDT's....and we have Ford, GM/Chevy and Ram "fanboys'..and the HDT's have their clique also, and also don't want to hear anything else about it...

The Ram will tow and brake my 20K GVW well and be under not only GVWR, but well under RAWR and be well under 10K under GCWR, and Im probably 1K under 20K GVW...I don't need an extra car to drive around some of the small towns we camp around...How come most HDT's don't add the cost of a small car they've purchased to drive around once parked (a lot of them have posted that's what they've done)...then there is insurance on that little car...HDT may be safer than my truck, but the little Smart car I see that a lot of HDT purchase is no where near as safe as my big ugly light duty pick up.


.......and we'll continue to agree to disagree that a HDT isn't needed to tow some 5er's now a day's, that once WARRANTED owning a HDT to tow 16K and up 5er's, but with new 1 ton Dually's, 2013 and up can now handle....Prior to that, you and I would have been in agreement
