Tow Vehicle for momentum 385th

What vehicle would be best to tow a Momentum 385TH ? will be purchasing a little later as now we have neither. We did have a Open Range 427 BHS 2011 model and a 2009 GMC 3500 dually.Any suggestions will be appreciated! We want to make the right choice and most of all be safe and LEGAL !!lol
  • I tow our 355 with a 2014 Ram 3500 DRW. No problems at all. I know the 385 is a bit heavier but you should still be fine.

    Your dually is perfectly fine.
Keep your dually. I ran into a guy last summer towing his 385TH with a GMC Denali 3500 with SRW and he said it towed just fine.
  • If you got the money to upgrade your truck, that would sure pull it down the road. But, like was said, your truck would be fine. IMO.
  • Chevy/GMC only offers a 3.73 with the Duramax/Allison. I can tell you you will not need a higher ratio with that engine/transmission match up.
  • That is alot of pin weight! This will be my daily driver too, which gear would be best 3.73 or 4.10. I am thinking of going with the ram. We will be going to WV to ride and camp also NC and TN. 1 trip to Guntersville,AL. Most of the time it will be short weekend trips 85 miles to 100 round trip.
  • Well at 19,400# GVWR you will need a 350/3500 DRW with a high payload capacity cause pin weight will be close to 4000# when TH is loaded for camping.
