All of the big three make a good truck, buy on the "fit" and price for the features you require. 30 plus years in pickups in the oilfield, normally a new one every 2 to 3 years. My pick is an Ford (best price), F250 (1/2 ton towable 5er, hammer lanes and parking in the Northeast), 4X4 (for playing in the mud), extended cab (meets the 22' length as required in places like Touroweep (sp)) and diesel (I just love the power, gas would have worked). Retired for 6.5 years, just missing AK, WA, OR, and HI. I haven't figured out how to drive across the Pacific. The other three are spring through fall 2018. Have fun with the decision, that is half the fun.
