Another factor may be that the f350 can be ordered with steel wheels and f450 comes only with forged aluminum wheels.
Lets not forget the turning radius on the F-450 is much tighter then the f350.
I sure wish my new F350 CC Dually had a tighter turning radius. My F250 SCSB was a lot easier to back the fifth wheel into tighter spaces with. Unfortunately it didn't have the weight capacity.
