towing 5th wheel with short bed Ford F250

If you are looking at an F250, consider an F350 SRW (if a dually isnt an option). I have a 2008 F250 and wish i had purchased the 1 ton cousin. The extra capacity will give you some additional options when 5th wheel shopping.
I have a 6.75' bed and while we don't have a 5er yet, the Hensley hitch we bought came with the simple slide. The 5er we want has a contour front cap, so if we find we dont need it, I will remove it to save weight.
