I plan to purchase a Ford F250 short bed (6 3/4 foot length) and a 5th wheel. I have heard I will need a slider hitch and I have heard I do not. Does anyone have real world experience with this? thank...

You will wish you had a slider on that dark late night when you are tired and yourvrig slams into your cab... Get a slider. For nothing more than piece of mind knowing you wont ever hit your cab..You are getting a short bed so if you jack knife it you will prolly hit the cab,..You never know what kind of position you may get into towing your fiver..No brainer for me..
