I plan to purchase a Ford F250 short bed (6 3/4 foot length) and a 5th wheel. I have heard I will need a slider hitch and I have heard I do not. Does anyone have real world experience with this? thank...

Have used our sliding hitch once in 3 years in a place I shouldn't have been. It is excellent piece of mind. It will be useful in spots that are unlevel and you have to turn. As others have said cap corners will have a lot to do with it.
