Years ago I towed a 55ft X 10ft wide trailer house completely furnished right down from the clothes in the closet to the food in the refrigerator, from Great Falls Mt to Helena Mt with a 1983 1/2 ton chevy diesel pickup. And you are worried about being a few hundred pounds overweight? What do you think will happen? I don't think your pickup will break in to. Your 2 rear tires together should be rated somewhere close to 7,000 lbs. If you can handle your pickup, your pickup can handle the trailer. Sometime you guys are just too funny. And just for the weight police out there, my towing trip with the trailer house was very safe & very legal. From the pilot car to the moving permit. My pickup didn't break.
