Yes, the 6.2 will work with a 12K loaded ready to camp FW, depending on the load of people, pets, gear, etc in the truck. Most gas 250s will have the 3.73 gears, and are rated to tow about 12K, and have a GCVWR of about 19K.
Your mileage should be 8+ towing 10-12K, if you keep speed below 65.
