I bought the Reese Revolution (aka Sidewinder, aka 5th Airborne) that moves the pivot point about 16" back from the hitch. May not have needed it, but then again I don't have to worry about the weight and cost penalty of a slider, and can go with a light hitch.
As others have noted, only the most well equipped F-150 (which will be a special factory order) has a chance with even light 5ths. No other 1/2 ton can get close for payload.
I'm doing it - but I'm right at the line for payload capacity. Still lots of pull capacity left. But no generator, or even solar, add-ons for me, as it will put me in the red for payload.
While I'm content with the current setup, there is no margin to move up. It's all about payload, and then about box length.
