Think of the physics, a big class A and a 5th are roughly the same height, with tow or towed when weights are similar, The difference is with a truck+5th its spread through 4( to 5 ) axles over a longer length with the sidewind lateral force is mainly controlled by the drive axle of the tow vs the steering axle of the MH.
When a sidewind, the scourge of all of us, hits a MH, its all on the front steering wheels to counter lateral forces, while with a trailer a lot of that lateral force is absorbed by the rear tires( axle) of the truck affecting the steering axle less.
Buffeting when meeting an oncoming large unit or other wind blocking structure like a building or overpass is also lessened when the frontal high pressure wave, then lower pressure wave of the oncoming vehice tends to push away, then draw you into its low pressure vortex. MHs and trailers have different reactions to those forces.
Theres no right or wrong, its understanding of physics.
Best to get parked when its windy. schedules are not worth anyones life.
