To the OP, you’re so exited about your new truck, and now your parade catches a cloud burst. I agree with bpounds, you can make this work—but, yes a 350 would have been better. The F-250 is derated for licensing/insuring purposes and is actually capable of hauling more except for the rear springs. So the problem is pin weight capacity. You should look for trailers that have a dry hitch weight to total weight % as low and close to 15% as possible to keep potential pin weight down. Also within the same budget range of Cardinal and Columbus trailers are some very nice trailers built with light weight technology. You will need air bags for sure to control rear squat.
