Towing to fast results in roll over

I was thinking the same thing about speed and, if the driver =had= taken the right-hander too fast and got the trailer up on the left side wheels, you'd likely see scuff marks. Not saying he didn't do that, but I think there'd be evidence of it. Not beyond imagination that the trailer tipped right up on the edge and the driver just couldn't get it back down. Rollovers don't always happen quickly.
