towing with 1/2 ton towable trailer.
I have a Cougar lite that weighs 7,000 lbs empty. I load it up to another 800 lbs, so I'm around 8,000 including myself. The hitch weight is around 1200 factory, but I'm sure that's up to 1800 by now....

We towed our 2009 Wildcat with our 1/2 ton Ford....but, here is the big thing! We had an F-150, Ecoboost factory made and we ordered it with the Max Tow Package (which is not real easy to find, but can be found AND we had to Heavy Duty Package included). That is not easy to find anywhere. We had more payload with our 1/2 ton than we do with our F-250 now. We were fine with payload with our RV with both vehicles, but we were just afraid of what might happen down the road with that vehicle.
We now have a 3/4 ton crew cab with the 6.7L diesel.
