Nice to know information for owners of regrooveable tires such as the G614.

NO ONE is going to regroove a G614, XPS RIB or R250 on a RV trailer, as they will age out way before one can wear the tread down to 2/32" of an inch. Besides NO ONE is going to tie up their trailer while the tires are send out to be regrooved.

Michelin often changes some information in their advertising. One item that has not changed is the retreadability of their XP Rib tires.
So, your logic would dictate the retreadability feature isn’t necessary and therefore a waste of money.

p.s. Notice the added weight to provide dense tall treads, extra steel belt and added sidewall protectors. All durability items.
Calvin you are so silly, you just will not give up on railing against the best tire one can put on a 6K axle like your trailer has.
No one cares about regrooving or retreading a trailer tire. What they care about is a tire that does not fail!!! No one has ever reported a XPS RIB failing in trailer use on this site or many other manufacturers sites. Is that what bothers you???
I guess it is understandable that a person with a very poor tire record with a given tire type might want to gut it out for personal reasons. WHAT is not UNDERSTANDABLE is why such a person would go on a multi-year crusade to get others to follow, unless they were paid in some way as part of a market scheme for such a product!
Regarding "waste of money"! Would you like to do a cost comparison between our trailers for tires?
