JMHO. I think Jayco quality has been dropping over the last few years. That 2 year warranty causing a problem. I had a 2012 Jayco TT. Very poor workmanship. Refused to cover warranty. I dumped it.back on the market in a trade. I think recent years workmanship finally caught up with them and was hurting sales. My 2012 Jayco almost burned to the ground. Poor wiring, bad wiring connections within the walls etc. Wire connections twisted together with no insulation or positive connections. Jayco trying to save money joining wires in the walls when reaching the end of wire rolls etc. I knew in 2013 I would never buy another Jayco. I suspect as more and more customers had problems it became a major problem for them. That said, was it a supervisor trying to save Jayco money or a Jayco policy? Who knows. Their quality seemed to drop. It is a shame because they had a great name in the RV industry.
BTW. I posted a couple of years ago my problems with Jayco quality and my TT amost burning to the ground and Jayco refusing to cover under warranty. I took a lot of flack for that post. Owners saying how great Jayco quality was at the time. I'm sure now I wasn't the only unhappy customer. It just took a couple of years for it to catch up with them.
I went to buy a Jayco 32 fks from a dealer about a hour away in Great Bend a while back and the trim on the outside was cut to short and they filled it in with white silicone. Same story on the inside, only the used colored wood putty that did not match. I left without buying.
